is a Maryland based, animator, illustrator, and sequential artist whose work focuses on the reality of living with physical disability through representing disability and metaphors through their work. Tawi believes that as we grow older, many start to lose the wonder and magic that the world has in store for us, having become accustomed to it. Inspired by Afro-Surrealism, their work romanticizes the magical parts of life, that we lose sight of as we grow up, hardened by our experiences. Integrating African cultural influences in Afro-Diapsorian cultural contexts with warm color and various textures she creates emotionally driven character animations.
So now I know you, great, what is this place though??

Glad you asked! I'm really sick of social media, everything is run by increasingly evil people and as a career artist, it's non-negotiable that I have an online presence. This sucks!!! I hate X, I hate instagram, and I feel my brain melting when I use tiktok too often, but I still want a place to post my art and thoughts where I don't have to wonder how my art will be recieved by website moderation or bad actors. Also I want a space that's more relaxed than the constant pressure to perform. That's what this website is in a nutshell! Everything I want it to be and nothing that I dont. It's pretty simple right now but I plan on adding more and more, so hopefully this website will grow with me. ^_^
Cool, what kind of stuff do you post?
I post art, musings about life, and documenting my creative process for my many personal projects.
You're awesome, do you have any socials?
Unfortunately! I'm @gremb0x on instagram and @diskremnant on tiktok. I'm technically on twitter as @grembox but ngl. It's a little too facist over there for me, I don't post on that account anymore.
